Daily coronavirus caseload is increasing again, 2370 new cases, highest after June 23

According to Epidemiology Unit data, 2370 new COVID-19 cases were reported July 29. Among the cases confirmed today. Sri Lanka recorded less than 2000 daily cases since June 23, Today caseload is the highest after June 23rd.

According to Institute for Health Policy IHP data, Sri Lanka’s “Test Positivity Rate” is increasing again. Test positivity (using PCR tests) shows as 13.3% while seven day average shows as 14.4%. In July first week the rate was about 10%.
