Cyclonic Storm “Mandous” over Bay of Bengal is to move to India’s Tamil-Nadu. Strong winds about (60-70) kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva & Central provinces.
The Cyclonic Storm “Mandous” over Southwest Bay of Bengal (360km east of Trincomalee) is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross North Tamil-Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coast over Southwest Bay of Bengal around night hours of 09th December.
Hence, Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Uva, Central & North-Western provinces. Heavy rainfall above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the aforementioned areas.
