C.W. Mackie PLC Partners with SKF, the World’s Largest Bearing Manufacturer

C.W. Mackie PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s leading conglomerates, has partnered with SKF — the world’s largest bearing manufacturer — to become its authorised distributor in Sri Lanka. The announcement was made at a ceremony in Colombo on October 10, attended by senior management from both companies.

The collaboration strengthens C.W. Mackie’s Industrial Products Cluster, adding to its portfolio of global brands such as Danfoss, Bitzer, Frascold, Telwin, and Hempel Paints. SKF, a Swedish multinational operating in 130 countries with over 17,000 distributor locations, is renowned for its pioneering bearing and friction reduction technologies.

As part of the launch, SKF introduced a mobile app in Sri Lanka for product authentication, reinforcing its and C.W. Mackie’s commitment to preventing counterfeit goods and ensuring quality assurance. The partnership aims to empower local industries with world-class technologies and enhance operational efficiency across sectors.
