April 11 and 12 declared as Public Holidays

Circular issued declaring 11 & 12 April 2022 as Public Holidays says Secretary, Ministry of Public Administration.

The Sinhala and Tamil New Year (Aluth Avurudu ) festival falls on April 13 and 14.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government states that there is no hindrance in making payments for the salaries for the employees of the public service in April despite the current situation.
