Announcement on commencement of third school term

The second school term of the 2025 academic year for Sinhala and Tamil government schools ended today (07), and the third term will commence on August 18 (Monday), according to the Ministry of Education. 

However, for Muslim schools, the second term will end on August 19 (Tuesday) and the third term will begin on August 25 (Monday), it said.
