Examination Commissioner General says that the Advanced Level examination will be held from December 5 to 2023 January 2. G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination for the year 2022, which was scheduled for August, has been postponed to October and later to November due to the closure of schools and the economic crisis in Sri Lanka.
2022 A/L Exam subjects and the relevant timetable with dates have not been released so far. The timetable will release to the examination department’s official www.doenets.lk website later.

The Cabinet has approved to the revised schedule for the Grade 5 Scholarship, Advanced Level and Ordinary Level examinations for the year 2021.
• General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level)- February 7, 2022 to March 5, 2022
• General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) – May 23, 2022 to June 1, 2022
• Grade 5 Scholarship Examination – January 22, 2022
With the 3rd COVID wave in Sri Lanka which started mid April, Sri Lanka closed all schools and restricted government offices’ staff, imposed lock-downs, introduced Work From Home WFH and imposed month-long travel restrictions. Also school teachers started a strike action on July month. Those development impact to the A/L exam conducting.
Advance Level Examination (A/L exam) will be held from February 7, 2022 to March 5, 2022. G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination for the year 2021, which was scheduled for August, has been postponed to October, and later postponed to November 15th and again postponed to 2022 February 7th. Accordingly, the examination is set to take place between 2022 February 7 and March 5.
The exam timetable has not been released so far. The time table will release to examination department official www.doenets.lk website.
