Navagamuwa police station has received a message regarding an attempt to attack a person with sharp weapons in Samagi Mawatha area of Navagamuwa police area.
After a raid conducted by the police, the police arrested 4 suspects along with a Three-Wheeler and a motorcycle suspected to have been used in crimes, two swords, four manna knives and two hand grenades made in this country.
The arrested persons aged 21, 29 and 42 are residents of Homagama area. It has been revealed that this group was led by an organized criminal from a foreign country.
The investigation by the police also revealed that money was credited to the bank account of a suspect from a foreign country to commit such crimes.
