National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) announces 20% price increase of non-gazetted medicines effective 8th April.
NMRA has allowed Importers of pharmaceutical drugs to increase the prices of imported drugs by 20 percent. However, they say price increase is not applicable to the drugs of which the prices were already increased earlier.
The private sector was given permission last month to increase the prices of medicines and medical devices by a certain percentage with the falling rupee and dollar situation.
