According to COVID19 Vaccine rollout tracking, So far more than 15 million first doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka. More than 70% of the total population in Sri Lanka have been administered with at least 1 dose.

Over 13 million second doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka. More than 60% of the total population in Sri Lanka have been administered with two dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Health Officials say that approximately 100% of the country’s population over the age of 30 years has been vaccinated with both doses of Covid-19 vaccines. 

Pfizer vaccine will be administered to all those over 20 years as a Third Dose in Sri Lanka from November first week. Government to purchase 14.5 million doses of Pfizer vaccines to administer as the 3rd dose. Army Commander says as the first stage, Health, Tri-forces, Police personnel, those engaged in tourism sector & frontline workers will be administered Pfizer vaccine as a booster dose from November 1st.

Administering of the Pfizer vaccine for students who are sitting for the A/L Examination and those who have sat once before, commenced in all education Zones islandwide.
