The low-pressure area in the southeast Bay of Bengal is very likely to intensify into a depression during next 48 hours. It is very likely to move west- northwestward and move closer to the Northern coast of Sri Lanka towards Thamilnadu area by the 20th and 21st of November 2022.
Showers will occur at times in Eastern province. Fairly heavy showers above 50mm can be expected at some places.
Several spells of showers will occur in Northern and North-Central provinces.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the country.
Strong winds about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-Central and Eastern provinces.
Misty condition can be expected in Sabaragamuwa, Uva and Central provinces during the morning.
