The Vote for the Second Reading will be held on Monday, November 22nd at 5 pm.
2022 Budget Speech presented by the Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa on Friday 12th November at 2pm in the Parliament. This was the Sri Lanka’s 76th budget and the 2nd one of this government. This was the Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa’s first budget speech.
Thereafter the Debate at the Committee Stage will commence on Tuesday 23rd November and it has been decided to hold the said Debate for 16 days inclusive of Saturdays up until Friday the 10th of December. Thereafter, the Vote for the Third Reading will be held on December 10th at 5 pm. During the Budget Debate, Parliament will convene at 9.30 am and will have 30 minutes from 9.30 am to 10.00 am for five Questions for Oral Answers.
