A Gazette Notification issued by the President, directing to carry out a census of population and housing in Sri Lanka for the years 2023 & 2024. This will be the Sri Lanka’s 15th Census of Population and Housing.
The last Census, which was conducted in 2012, was the 14th in the Census series in Sri Lanka and it encompasses the entire country after a period of 31 years, counting from 1981.
