Special audit on electric vehicle imports for expat workers

A special audit has been carried out on the scheme introduced to import fully electric vehicles for expatriate workers.

The Speaker of Parliament Ashoka Ranwala stated that the relevant audit report would be presented to the Parliament today (05).

Accordingly, the related audit has been conducted regarding the issuance of permits through the scheme which was implemented from May 01, 2022, to September 15, 2023.
