Take immediate action against the murders in the Southern and Western Provinces

Public Security Minister Tiran Alles has issued instructions to the Police Chief IGP & Senior police officers to take immediate & stern action against violent crimes in Southern & Western Provinces. A grace period granted till 31 July to surrender unauthorised or unlicensed firearms.

So far this year about 40 shooting incidents reported in Sri Lanka. Police says 21 persons have died due to these shootings.
