School holidays again on December 22; New term on February 2 next year: Minister

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha today announced the school holidays for the second phase of the third term of the government and government-approved Sinhala and Tamil medium schools.

Accordingly, the second phase of the third term school holidays is scheduled to end on December 22.

While attending a ceremony at a school in Colombo, the Minister said the new school term will then start again on February 2, 2024.

The second phase of the third term of government and government-approved Sinhala and Tamil medium schools in 2023 started on November 1.

The second school term ended last Friday (October 27).
