Speaking to journalists during the event, Russian Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan underscored the importance of extending support to the “friendly people of Sri Lanka” during this challenging period.

He further announced that a Russian EMERCOM emergency aircraft carrying 35 tons of humanitarian aid is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka, strengthening relief efforts following the severe impact of the cyclone.
