The Provincial Councilors’ Forum unanimously passed a resolution on April 26 stating that neither Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa nor the government should resign.
The resolution was passed at a meeting between the Prime Minister and government ministers and the Provincial Councilors’ Forum held at Temple Trees this morning.

Accordingly, the Provincial Councilors’ Forum decided to inform President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa of this proposal as well. The members of the Provincial Councilors’ Forum also said that it would be unethical for the Members of Parliament who went to the people using the name and photographs of the Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and became independent against the Prime Minister.

The members pointed out that the majority of 69 lakhs of people are still with Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and this situation has arisen due to their silence. The delegates pointed out that the protests currently taking place in the country are being activated by the opposition and various anti-government political organizations to motivate the people affected by the economic crisis. Said.
