Police CID begins investigations over social media posts threatening parliamentarians

An investigation has been started on the posts posted on social media threatening parliamentarians.

It has been observed that various posts are being published on social media, threatening parliamentarians. Accordingly, as per the instructions of the Ministry of Public Security, the police headquarters has paid special attention to the persons who publish such posts and the persons who create them.
The Police Headquarters has given instructions to the Computer Crime Investigation Division operating in the Criminal Investigation Department CID to trace the persons involved in such activities. (LankaXpress.com )
