The Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage says that a decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting for the government to purchase a kilo of paddy for Rs. 75 from the farmers.
Accordingly, the Paddy Marketing Board has been instructed to go to the fields and purchase paddy at Rs. 75 per kilo.
