The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) arrested five Chinese nationals and one Sri Lankan during a raid on an online loan center in Dehiwala.
The operation, carried out by the Cyber Crimes Investigation Division of the CID, resulted in the confiscation of eight desktop computers, thirteen laptops, and 41 mobile phones from the company.
The arrests were made in response to a complaint with the Cyber Crimes Investigation Division.
Meanwhile, the Police urged the public to report any related complaints to the nearest police station or the Cyber Crimes Investigation Division of the CID.
