Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Udaya Gammanpila says the Central Bank has issued funds to obtain fuel from 2 vessels at the Colombo Port. Accordingly out of the 37,000 MT of fuel, 10,000 MT will be given to the CEB. Fuel stocks sufficient for 8 days delivered to CEB.
Meanwhile, Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation CPC says they will supply 1000 MT of fuel daily to Kelanithissa Power Station till January 22 as several power generators at Kelanitissa Power Plant shutdown.
