Advisory for Heavy rain and Strong winds; (Valid period 08.30 p.m. 27 August 2022.) Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Heavy rainfall above 100mm can be expected at some places.
August 27 –
Showers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa province and in Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva, Eastern and North-Central provinces and in Mullaitivu district during the evening or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
