At least 20 persons have died, 1 missing, 5 injured and over 62,247 people have been affected due to the adverse weather conditions including floods and landslides prevailing in several parts of Sri Lanka during last two weeks. According to DMC report, 18 houses are fully damaged, and 960 houses are partially damaged due to bad weather. About 5000 people displaced. 17 districts were affected.
Massive rainfall of 300 mm reported in Nochchiyagama in Anuradhapura district and 243 mm reported in Jaffna during November 8th -9th. Meanwhile, Department of Meteorology say that the low pressure area is still persist in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
