The President never asked me to resign. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that he is confident that he will not asked me to do so.
This was stated by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at a meeting with Pradeshiya Sabha chairmen, Mayors and district leaders at Temple Trees today (27).
The Prime Minister also emphasized that we will either take foreign aid or carry out the necessary programs to rebuild the country. The Pradeshiya Sabha chairmen and Mayors passed a unanimous resolution that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa should not resign from his post.
